This coffee roasts on a MONTHLY SCHEDULE. Monthly roasted Grimpeur Bros. coffee orders close on the last Sunday of each month at 9 PM ET. MONTHLY coffee orders ship on Mondays after the first week of the month. All MONTHLY coffee ordered after the deadline will go into the following month’s production.
Dam Loop is a truly unique one-of-a-kind find. It is a four-origin blend, intended as espresso, which really shines when pulled as ristretto. After some experimentation, we found it to be a lovely pour-over and press as well. It's all fruit upfront and finishes off with some nice chocolate notes.
Austin's Dam Loop is part of a roadies' "must ride" regular arsenal. At a minimum, the Dam Loop delivers a big vista, 50 mile route through the western part of Austin and the beginnings of the Texas Hill Country. The brilliance of the Dam Loop is its flexibility. You can kill it on the basic Dam Loop (Bee Cave Rd., TX 620, TX 360. Anderson Mill Rd., etc.) tempo riding through its rollers and climbs going clockwise or counterclockwise. Either way, it's a long slog up and away from Mansfield Dam on Lake Travis...and if you push it, you'll be shredded by the end.
Or you can ratchet up the Dam Loop "GNAR" factor by making it tougher adding in all kinds of "fun" and "challenging" climbs and detours. Add on any combination of the Westlake Hills, Lost Canyon, Cuernavaca Loop, Courtyard, Cat Mountain, North Cat Mountain, or Lime Creek/Volente - da three "sisters" anyone?, and all of a sudden you've got miles PLUS steep, “get out of your saddle and climb” elevation in flat ol' Texas. Yippee Ki Yay its Grimpeur time!
